What is Fix AN Find Hack?

Fix AN Find Hack is a small program for the PalmPilot that corrects a deficiency in the behavior of ActionNames. If you do not have ActionNames installed on your Palm, then move along... there is nothing for you to see here.

Here's the problem:
ActionNames uses the built-in databases for DateBook and ToDo to store its data. So, when you use the Palm's Find dialog to search for info that you have created in ActionNames, the built-in applications will find your information (this is a good thing). However, if you click on the results of a search, it will jump to that item in the built-in app, rather than in ActionNames (this is a bad thing). Fix AN Find Hack corrects this behavior by intercepting the command to jump to an item in the DateBook and diverting it to ActionNames.

Caveats - The current version only works for DateBook items ("Events" in ActionNames), and not for ToDo or Calls. This will be corrected in a later version.

Fix AN Find Hack is free to use, and licensed under the GNU General Public License. It requires HackMaster to run, which is not free and should be registered for $5 from Daggerware. You can get HackMaster and register it from the Daggerware Site. It is assumed that you are familiar with using HackMaster extensions, so please read the HackMaster documentation before installing Find Ignore Hack. In particular, you should always disable hacks before uninstalling or upgrading them.
